Blume 2000

Corporate Communication

Germany’s largest florist and Fairtrade dealer, and the biggest provider of vocational training in the industry, BLUME 2000, has a true passion for floristry. The Hamburg-based company has been connecting urbanites with nature since 1974 and broke new ground when it was founded by making fresh flowers affordable for everyone and encouraging customers to serve themselves.

The choice of flowers on sale includes ready-made bouquets, garden and potted plants, and individually created bouquets, a new service that was introduced in 2016. The company has set itself very strict selection criteria for its products, with an emphasis on regional produce, sustainability and eco-friendliness. In 2016, BLUME 2000 rolled out a new service concept and shop design across all its branches: a light, inviting, colourful design with plenty of natural materials has transformed the BLUME 2000 shops into local flower markets for urban neighbourhoods. BLUME 2000 employs around 1,700 people and, with branches in nearly 90 towns and cities, is committed to bringing a splash of colour to grey cities.
