There is scarcely a more authentically Hanseatic way to experience Hamburg. Perched above the famous Landungsbrücken, Hotel Hafen Hamburg has been captivating guests for over 40 years with its maritime charm, an unrivalled view over the harbour, and a distinctly Hamburg story: in the 19th century, the building served as a sailors’ home before later becoming a naval training establishment. It remains a treasure trove of Hanseatic seafaring history to this day –  filled with collector’s pieces that pay tribute to Hamburg’s past and the great age of shipping, all served up with the characteristically understated warmth of the North German hospitality tradition.
